My GI was scheduled at IIFT Delhi, 6th May 2010, 3PM.
I had read many experiences at PG which included the panel asking the candidates to sing, whistle etc. and being grilled on the Psychometric test in GI 2.
However, in my GI 1, it was totally cool and panelists were interviewing candidates one by one. My interview was mostly centered around my work experience. I was specifically asked to list my learnings through the experience. I think I had Professor Parimal Merchant as one of the two panelists while the other was a lady IIFT Faculty.
I could answer the questions decently and was henceforth shortlisted for the second GI.
I remember mine was the last batch of 7 people scheduled at 7 PM. I was expecting a lot of grilling on the Psychometric test. However, the round revolved around general questions about recent news, our views, hobbies and interests, why MBA, why should we take you. There was minimal grilling of any sort. I believe all of us felt quite comfortable after it ended.
All in all, my GI experience was something that I hadn't experienced before and was interesting. The seniors made it a smooth process and guided us aptly.
