Life @ SP

Other than Learning through Experience, SPJIMR offers a unique blend of activities such as sports, dance, music, social service, theater and the list goes on and on.

It is up to the participant to make the most of the opportunities provided.

Here we can share our experiences related to our everyday life at SP, which are going to be memorable :)

Laptop

The Offer Letter states the configurations of the laptops as follows:

Intel 32 bit architecture
2 GB RAM
WiFI IEEE 802.11 a/b/g
LAN Enabled 10/100
Internal Multimedia and Sound
Windows Vista or Windows 7 OS

If one opts for it, SPJIMR also provides laptops to the participants through bulk deals.

Here we can discuss about and evaluate the options provided through the bulk deals. Any other discussion regarding laptops such as Operating Softwares, Licenses, WiFi connectivity etc. can also be discussed here.

Funding

Let's discuss about the various options available for Educational loans.

More importantly let's share our experiences about the whole process, problems faced and how we handled them.

Accommodation (Hostel Life!!)

SPJIMR PGDM program is a full time residential program. Hostels are provided with facilities like water filter & cooler, coffee vending machines, washing machine and printer.

All hostel rooms are networked having 24 hours Internet access, via leased line. Students are connected through the Internet, Intranet of the institute (SPINX) and messaging applications.

Separate hostels are provided for male and female participants. Participants have a choice between double and triple sharing accommodation, although double sharing rooms are available on first cum first serve basis.

We can discuss about and post our experiences related to the hostel life here!!

Group Interview Experience

Please post your Group Interview experience. It will be fun to share how we faced the music!!

Also, future applicants can take some guidance from the same, although at their own peril ;)

Pre Foundation Course

The Pre Foundation Course (or PFC) is a self-study course designed to ensure uniform proficiency of the participants in basic topics such as Finance, Marketing and Quantitative Methods. It includes both online and offline resources.

It starts on May 18th 2010. There will be a test on campus based on the PFC. According to the Offer Letter, it is mandatory to clear this test. According to seniors, the course and the test are two crucial parts of the program and need to be taken seriously. Also, the test scores contribute to the overall grades and the scoring is percentile based.
